Our CFIC Hub Director, Robert Ross, PhD, joined an esteemed panel of fellow DEFENSEWERX hub leaders at the Defense TechConnect Innovation Summit & Expo in Austin, TX. The panel, titled "Power of the PIA: From Ideas to Impact," highlighted the critical role Partnership Intermediary Agreements (PIAs) play in fostering collaboration and driving innovation between the Department of Defense and industry, academia, and nonprofit organizations.
The session was a resounding success, showcasing how DEFENSEWERX hubs, like CFIC, are turning innovative ideas into real-world solutions that address national security challenges. Dr. Ross and the panelists shared valuable insights, engaged with a dynamic audience, and reinforced the importance of these partnerships in shaping the future of defense technology.

AvengerCon VIII
AvengerCon is a yearly free security event hosted by volunteers from the 780th MI BDE to benefit the hackers of the U.S. Cyber Command and Department of Defense. The event is targeted at personnel supporting DoD cyberspace missions, but others are welcome to attend. AvengerCon features presentations, hacker villages, training workshops, and much more.

TechNet Augusta 2024 gives participants the opportunity to examine and explore the intricacies of the cyber domain. With assistance from the U.S. Army Cyber Center of Excellence and industry experts, the conference is designed to open the lines of communication and facilitate networking, education and problem solving. Leaders and operators also discuss procurement challenges the military, government and industry face during a time of uncertain budgets and runaway technology advances.

Organized on behalf of Army Cyber Command’s (ARCYBER) Technical Warfare Center (TWC), this professional military education session focused on advancing the officers’ understanding of ARCYBER’s cutting-edge innovation and technological initiatives.
During the course, the TWC’s Integration and Data Division (ID2), DevSecOps team, and Project Manager Defensive Cyber Operations (PM DCO) shared invaluable insights into their mission-critical support for the Cyber Warfighter. We are proud to contribute to shaping the future of cyber defense and innovation.
